A View From The Bridge

The opening season’s play at Keighley Playhouse is specific: but its themes of adoration, reverence and treachery are universal. A View From The Bridge tells the story of immigrant workers living and working in Brooklyn. Eddie Carbone is an ordinary man. Yet within a few minutes of entering into his very ordinary world, you realise that what you see and hear masks an emotional land mine.

The lawyer Alfieri says sat there and powerless he watched it run its bloody course. This one's name was Eddie Carbone. This makes it obvious that Eddie is to follow the fate that something bad, but unstoppable is going to happen.

Eddie lives with his wife Beatrice and niece Catherine, whom he treats like a daughter and like all good men, he works every day to provide them with enough money to survive. But Eddie’s feelings towards Catherine develop as the play progresses and eventually his possessiveness becomes an obsession.
